been developed to explore feedback models in parameterized modelling activities as well as to foster the development of the sense of structure in algebra.

She was vice-president of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education (1995-1997); member of the Program Committee of the International Congress of Mathematics Education (2001-2004); leader (with Luis Puig) of the History Group for the Algebra ICMI Study; and director of the Mexican project Incorporation of New Technologies to the School Culture. From 1997 to 2003, she was head of the Department of Mathematics Education at Cinvestav and, from 2003 to 2006, she was advisor for educational technology projects of the Ministry of Education (SEP) in Mexico.
